The sun's dying rays
Cast brilliant her blue-black wings
Heigh she soars above the world
Wrapt in her evening flight

She laughs and delights
Drinking deep the freedom
The air caressing her form
As she dances upon the sky

The last of the sun's light fades
And still she dances
Long into the night
Until the pale moon rises

Bathed in its silvery glow
Her revelry is boundless
Until she slowly drifts back to the glade
From whence she lifted to the sky

Returning to the peace and tranquility
Gleaming ebon-and-sapphire wings slowly folding
Little kitten finds her blanket in the grass
And slips off to dream.
